Apo Iraya Festival is held every October 23-24 in Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro. The event demonstrates the traditions and other ways of life of the Iraya Mangyans. It conveys a story of worship and belief in a supernatural being, the Apo Iraya. Apo Iraya guides the Iraya Mangyans in their day to day activities such as birth, marriage, sickness, death, farming and fishing. Arawatan Festival

Arawatan Festival, organized in connection with Occidental Mindoro’s 68^th founding anniversary celebration features an exhibition of this province’s natural attractions through a photo-exhibit, an agro-tourism trade fair showcasing agricultural, coastal and marine products, street dancing, sports events and the Ginoong Agrikultura & Bb. Turismo 2018, among others.

Dugoy Festival

Dugoy Festival is celebrated every January 18 in the town of Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro. This festival features the Mangyan tribe and its rich cultural heritage that is to be admired by many people who visit the place during festivities.

Dugoy Festival, just like any other festival, celebrates with a number of performances such as street dances, exhibits, cultural shows, and other forms of merriment. This festival is a great avenue for the townspeople to showcase their talents through performing.

The festival is also a platform so that people in Sablayan can let the people know of the different ethno-cultural groups present in the festivity. The revelry, although it is about the harmonious relationship of cultural groups, also instill a modern nature which adds life to the celebration. The music used in the festival is usually done through using indigenous musical instruments, but it also makes use of modern songs. Indak Padurukan Festival

Indak Padurukan Festival is an An inter-barangay street dancing competition with a theme, “Mangyan at Tamaraw: Mukha at Kulay ng San Jose, Occidental Mindoro”, celebrated every 29th day of April, which showcases rich cultural heritage of the town by means of Mangyan and Tamaraw-inspired dances, costumes, and props in lively and energetic performances. “Indak” is a Filipino term meaning to move, and “Pandurucan”, an old name of San Jose. The town dances as merriment to the abundance and mellowness of a living for more than a decade. It has been celebrated for almost 13 years as part of the celebration of the founding anniversary of the town, in line with the celebration of the feast, in honor of our Patron Saint Joseph, The Worker. Karakol Festival

Karakol Festival of Mamburao Occidental Mindoro is celebrated every 10^th of October in honor of the town’s patron saint Nuestra Señora Del Pilar. This parade is a festive celebration in the streets of the town wherein the parishioners joyfully carry the patron saint with jovial music while dancing and praising with the belief that they will be blessed with prosperous life and good health. Saknungan Festival

Incorporating the exhibition of the cultural heritage of Mindoro’s ethnic communities is the Saknungan Festival, held every fourth week of April in San Jose, Mindoro Occidental. The festival commences with the annual celebration of the blessings of the province.

Saknungan, a Mangyan word is literally meant bayanihan, the spirit of cooperation and unity at work, which is practiced by the people of Mindoro in their everyday activities, especially during the planting and harvesting season of the palay, the major agricultural product of Occidental Mindoro. Tuna Festival
