The charming island of Tingloy has a radish shape and be can be found south of Batangas. Positioned in between Batangas mainland and the province of Mindoro. Boats that leave Batangas Port and bound to Puerto Galera pass by the landmass of Tingloy.

Well, you might think of it as a very small island. But actually, Tingloy is a town in Batangas with a large number of dwellers from fifteen barrios. The town has mountain ranges with abundant trees and plants.

According to the town mayor, tingloy is a spiky plant, where the town obtained its name. And most of the early settlers came from the towns of Taal and Bauan. It used to be a part of the town of Mabini, but was granted a status of a municipality on June 17, 1955.

Tingloy Batangas beaches boast of fine white sand beaches with clean and clear blue waters. It is also a perfect place to go diving with shallow waters, lush green coral gardens, ample pelagic fish, shipwrecks and great for underwater photos.
