SKELETON WRECK
Photo from: http://filipinas-beauty.blogspot.com/2013/02/coron-palawan.html
This is a tiny little wreck located on the northwest corner of Coron Island which is ideal for diving and snorkeling. You can see here a sunken ship that sits on a pretty reef. The wreck got its name from the fact that the keel, ribs and stringers of the boat are the only thing that’s left, giving a skeletal appearance. The water around it is so clear that you can actually see the beautiful corals and reef at the bottom. Beware: There are lots of sea urchins within the area so it is recommended to wear aqua shoes while snorkeling. Like CYC Beach, this also makes a good spot to have lunch. – Text from: http://www.pasyalera.com/palawan/coron-palawan-philippines-untouched-beauty/

The wreck is actually 27 ft deep but you can see some parts of the ship’s skeleton since the tip of the ship’s wreck is only 10 feet deep. The wreck is really creepy but still very nice to capture with your under water camera. Funny that the song “My Heart Will Go On” keeps playing in my head while I was snorkeling near the wreck. – Text from: http://www.travelwithtoni.com/coron-the-philippines-last-paradise-travel-guide/
This wreck is the keel, ribs and stringers of a steel-hulled boat about 25 meters long. Location: Northwest corner of Coron Island
This wreck was beached with the bow a dozen meters from Coron Island. The stern points directly away from the island. The wreck slopes along the reef from 5 meters deep at the bow to 22 meters at the stern. A pass through on the starboard side of the hull at 14 meters allows you to swim from the inside of the boat out over the coral reef.
This dive is best when made while breathing 36% Nitrox for a 75% increase in allowable bottom time.
Max depth: 22 meters on the bottom. Slopes from 7 to 22 meters. Recommended certification level: Skin Diver, Open Water Diver. – Text from: http://www.philippinediving.com/sites.htm
