There is no direct flight to Guimaras. If you’re coming from Manila, take a direct flight to Iloilo. From Iloilo, take a jeepney or taxi going to Iloilo City harbor (Ortiz Wharf), and then take a 15-minute pump boat ride going to Jordan Wharf, Guimaras which is the main port of entry in Guimaras. From Iloilo International Airport, take a van going to SM City Iloilo. The van terminal is just in front of the arrival area and the standard fare for the 20-30 minute travel is only PHP50.00. The dispatcher will ask for the fare before everyone gets to leave the airport. Alternatively, there are also metered taxis in the airport but it is more expensive.
As soon as you arrive in SM City Iloilo, take a metered taxi going to Ortiz Wharf (if you’re planning to stay in the touristy parts of the islands — Jordan or Nueva Valencia). On the other hand, if you’re planning to stay in seclusion in Buenavista, take a metered taxi going to Parola.
From Ortiz wharf or Parola, take the pump boat going to Guimaras Island. The two main ports of entry in Guimaras are Jordan Wharf or Buenavista Wharf, which take 15-20 minutes to reach. Fare is only PHP15.00 and you need to pay at the ticket booths before boarding. Read More: http://www.filipinobackpacker.com/2013/04/how-to-get-to-guimaras-island-from.html
