Our destination was the island of Malangabang. As we approached the island, corals greeted us under the clear waters.
Malangabang Island has a quaint village, making it the most populated island among the 16 islands of Concepcion. The sand was white, yet coarse. There was a sand strip at the tip of the island that seemed to connect to another island.
The island has several enterprising residents, and dried fish is one of more popular businesses here. I learned how to dry fish and even pack them with salt. Malangabang Island may not be the island to visit in Concepcion, but it’s a good stop for supplies, since there are variety stores here. Concepcion may be unknown to most travelers, and this makes this place very relaxing and worth visiting.
