Sto. Niño de Arevalo Festival

In January, Arevalo celebrates its town fiesta in honor of the Santo Niño. The festivities take place during the month of January, the Fiesta day is held every 3rd Sunday of January. During Fiesta day households open their doors and prepare food for fiesta goers, friends, visitors and distant relatives. Biraw-Paraw Festival

Sailing is one of the traditional and fastest growing recreational activities of the Ilonggos. It allows one to become part of the action rather than solely a spectator. Everyone has the opportunity to take part. The annual Biray Paraw festival provides a sailing environment for the benefit of community and visitors. The festival is to satisfy their social and recreational needs while fostering a spirit of camaraderie.

A paraw is a double outrigger sailboat traditional to the Visayas region. Visitors to the festival will experience biray-biray (recreational sailing) where the riggers will take everyone for a ride.

Biray-biray offers the perfect platform for enthusiast to create a level playing field, allowing one to display competitive qualities. Cry of Jelicuon

The 115^th anniversary celebration of Cry of Jelicuon in the said town became successful, meaningful and colorful as four competing groups representing the New Lucena National Comprehensive High School, New Lucena National High School, Bololacao National High School and Jelicuon-Cabugao National High School showcased the rich history of their town through a reenactment of the First Cry of Revolution happened more than a century ago.

Each group flabbergasted the hundreds of people who witnessed the Re-Enactment Contest at the municipal auditorium of the said town.

Every 25^th of October, New Lucena commemorates the heroic acts of General Martin Delgado who led the battle for independence against the Spanish forces.
