A favorite spot for local and foreign tourists, Cayucyucan in the mainland of Mercedes, is home to several beach resorts which offer different amenities. Guests can walk along the sand-shell-coral beach, relax in native floating cottages or enjoy different water sports and recreational activities. The water level of the beach is very shallow and serene during low tide, making it ideal for kids. The resort is reachable by vehicles on a dirt road from the main road and has a wide parking area, so those with cars can drive all the way here.  Read More: http://www.traveling-up.com/travel-guide-mercedes-camarines-norte/

If Camarines Norte is not included in your list of summer destinations, think again. There is more to this Bicol landmark than the white beach of Calaguas Island. After you spent a day or two in Calaguas, hold your ticket first and find your way to Cayucyucan Beach in Mercedes.

Forget that the beach is not white, stay there until 11:00 in the morning or until the tide goes down and the offshore bars reveal themselves. The view is quite fascinating facing the mountain ranges on the right side of the beach front.  Read More:  https://thepinoychancepassenger.wordpress.com/2016/05/04/quick-look-cayucyucan-beach-in-camarines-norte/

We went to Apuao Island, that is about 30 mins on a boat ride from Cayucyucan. I promise I died upon seeing the island, it’s so beautiful. The place is very serene. It’s a perfect place to reflect and relax. The island is just small so you can go around it. At the back part of the island, the water is so warm and the Pacific Ocean is just over looking. The island even grew pine trees, makes me feel that I’m in a cold place wherein I’m actually at the beach. There are very few people in there so you can really enjoy the place. Meanwhile, the water in Cayucyucan beach is too peaceful and calm. It has very light gray sand and it’s my also my first time to see sea cucumbers there.   Read More:  http://inamunik.blogspot.com/2013/04/summer-2013.html
