Rahugan festival celebrates the most humble of character traits among Basudeños: the love of family, sense of belonging, peaceful and cooperative life, and community spirit. This week-long festival, therefore, embraces the community in a solid manifestation of solidarity among its people. Highlight activities include: street dancing, mural painting contest, laro ng lahi, agro-tourism expo, beauty search, among others. It is held yearly every October 18-24.

The spirit of valor, independence, community service, cooperation, and belonging are inherent to every Basudeno as they keep on showcasing these traits through yearly Rahugan Festival. It is held every October 17-24 of the year in Basud, Camarines Norte to celebrate its annual feast of St. Raphael de Archangel.
Rahugan comes from the word “rahug” which means a group of coconut and signifies strength when united.
During the festival, Basudenos display their unity by participating in the events such as Street dancing competition, Gabi ng mga Lola at Lola, Gabi ng mga Lingkod Bayan, Gabi ng Edukasyon, Laro ng Lahi, Mutya ng Rahugan/Ms. Basud pageant, Agro-Tourism Fair and Fluvial Procession in Basud River.
