GOTA BEACH

Gota Beach Resort is the top end resort in Caramoan recommended for those who don’t mind paying extra for a somewhat more luxurious beach escapade. It has its own beaches which are also open for the public so it is best to avoid it during weekend (Caramoan residents pay Php150 and php300 for non residents). In 2008, we stayed at this resort just because it was the only beach resort available at that time that had its own beach. A lot of the time, the beach is occupied by the crew of Survivor so it is often closed for public.
It is also quiet expensive to stay at this resort compared to other resorts in the area now but its location makes it all worth it. We actually spent most of our time on its beach and only visited the nearby Malarad Island during our stay. The resort is surrounded by towering limestone cliffs covered with green vegetation and it has two coves with fine sand, one of which is another jump-off point for island-hopping. It is a few minutes boat ride from Malarad Beach (formerly called Matukad Island), Lahus and Hunungan Beach Resort. Read More: http://www.lakwatseradeprimera.com/caramoan-accommodation/

Unlike before Caramoan has now become a favorite destination among local and foreign tourists rivaling famous vacation hotspot in the Philippines such as Boracay, Palawan, Cebu and Davao. In fact in recent years Caramoan has the biggest share in terms of tourists arrival in the Philippines. One place who made Caramoan famous is Gota Beach Resort, developed and promoted by the local government of Camarines Sur and known internationally for hosting the famous TV program – “The Survivor Series”.
Ever since, I have wanted to go to Caramoan especially at Gota; the place is really amazing as I have seen it on TV. Even on internet when i saw photos taken from Gota all I can wish for myself is that hopefully I can visit it one day. I never got an idea before that such a beautiful place exist in Camarines Sur in which I came from. I thought the dream of visiting Gota will remain just a dream, until one day a good news arrived, our relatives from Canada are spending their vacation at Gota and ask us if we are willing to come. All travel expenses will be paid by them. It was like a dream come true! Imagine visiting a place that you’re dreaming about without spending a single penny from your pocket.
