AMAZING BEACHES & RESORTS
Davao del Norte is one of the most progressive provinces in Region XI. It has seven municipalities, namely, Asuncion, Braulio E. Dujali, Carmen, Kapalong, New Corella, Sto. Tomas, and Talaingod, and three cities of Tagum, which is the capital as well as center of commerce and governance, Panabo, and the Island Garden City of Samal, known for its white pristine beaches, great diving sites, and well preserved flora and fauna. This is where the world-renowned Pearl Farm Beach Resort is located along with other tourist destinations dotting this island of adventure. Babu Santa Beach Resort
Photo from: https://wayph.com/summer-destinations-in-davao-region/
Babu Santa is located on the tip part of the island so, both sides of the resort have something great to offer. Going further on the left you will be able to see the home of the locals and some rocky terrain. On the opposite side are palm trees lining the sea shore and shallow water. It gives a rocky view for a nice picturesque on this side of the resort.
From the beautiful natural landscape of the resort, divers can move on to the coral garden and see for themselves the bounty of the marine life.
One thing that the guests will enjoy from this resort is its crystal clear water that you can just see the corals without using goggles or any other snorkeling gadgets. So I say you’ll save up thousands and just enjoy the marine life with your naked eye.
Babu Santa offers the sky, the white sand, the beach, and the wide surrounding for different type of guests – whether it’s for an adventurous tourist, romantic couples, or for the weary soul. You can either enjoy both the sun and the beach in a serene environment. This beach resort has rooms and cottages made in a simple design. Read More: http://www.samalguide.com/resort/babu-santa/
Bali Bali Beach Resort
Bali Bali Beach Resort is a stunning one-hectare semi-private beachfront resort situated at the coastline southwest of Samal Island. While walk-ins are not encouraged by the Resort, it however provides each guest tranquility and privacy away from the noise of city life.
Bali Bali Beach Resort was appropriately named from the word “bali bali,” which, in the native dialect of Pangasinan, means “beautiful.”
The Pavilion serves as the main lobby where guests are welcomed. Fronting the Pavilion is the Resort’s main attraction – the infinity pool (below) which stretches its beautiful view up to the Gulf of Davao.
The Resort may also be engaged for special occasions such as weddings, family reunions, birthday parties, bridal showers, etc. Read More: http://davaocitybybattad.blogspot.com/2011/11/bali-bali-beach-resort.html
Banana Beach Resort
Photo from: http://www.pepesamson.com/2016/08/travel-guide-davao-3.html
I’m talking about Tagum in Davao del Norte, in which lies Banana Beach in Hijo Estate Resorts—a 760-hectare expanse of leisure space, rivers, forests, and plantations. Imagine everything you could possibly want in a getaway all together in one place: beach, sea, river, forest, comfortable lodging, activities, food, and many more! It’s a dream come true for any traveler seeking the perfect hideaway.
Just an hour and a half drive from Davao City, Banana Beach is situated at the heart of Davao gulf in Madaum, Tagum City, a little—no, enormous—piece of paradise that instantly throws away all the stresses related to city living, a respite from all things toxic. The resort caters to both peace lovers and adventure seekers—how they have managed to combine two opposing worlds, I have no idea. All I know is that I am a bit of both, and I had an amazing time at Banana Beach. Read More: http://www.pepesamson.com/2015/08/banana-beach-davao-things-to-do.html
Blue Waters Beach Resort
Photo from: https://www.tripadvisor.com/LocationPhotos-g3224398-Samal_Bataan_Province_Central_Luzon_Region_Luzon.html
Blue Waters Resort is an upscale white beach resort (for me) located in Samal Island. It is conveniently located in the coast side of Samal, 20 minutes away from Davao City. Blue Waters Resort is a Semi Private Resort that is open for beach goers who wants to experience exclusivity and tranquility. You have to make reservations first if you want to go to this resort. No Booking, No Entry. Although this beach has strict rules, their staffs are the friendliest and the most accommodating. As our boat docked at their breakwaters, the staff greeted us a warm welcome.
Aside from their white sand beach and turquoise water, they also have swimming pools both for children and adults. Accommodations will be not a problem since they have a variety of rooms to choose from at a very affordable price. They also have picnic tables, huts and kiosk conveniently located at the beach side for day tour guests.
Blue Waters resort is fascinatingly beautiful. It has a warm and homey atmosphere everyone would surely love. Plus, the staffs are very accommodating and the shoreline was well maintained. It was an excellent way to end our summer right. Overall a most recommended place to have fun and bond with your family and friends. Buenavista Island Resort
Photo from: http://travelersbookupdates.blogspot.com/2017/05/the-island-buenavista-island-garden.html
Island Buenavista is a privately owned island resort located off the east coast of Davao City, and north of the Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCoS). This luxury island resort is a four-hectare exclusive paradise of lush tropical greenery and tall palm trees surrounded by white powdery sandy beach in the midst of the crystal clear waters of Davao Gulf. The Island is widely known for its rich formation of coral reefs and abundant marine life, and is considered as one of the top snorkeling and diving destinations in Davao.
Island Buenavista is an eco-friendly island, and is home to the Hawks Bill Turtle Sanctuary. The area around the island is declared a marine protected area by the city government of Samal, and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to help maintain its pristine state, and ensure the preservation of the habitat of several marine species endemic in the surrounding area. Use of any form of watercraft is strictly prohibited.
The Island Buenavista enjoys a mild, pleasant tropical climate all year round, with no pronounced wet or dry season. The coolest months are from November to February with an average temperature of 25°C (77°F). During the peak summer months, from March to May, temperatures average 28°C (82.4°F) but may occasionally rise as high as 32°C (89.6°F).
What is so awesomely unique about this island getaway is that the whole Island Buenavista is ONLY AVAILABLE FOR EXCLUSIVE USE AND RENTAL for groups and families. Booking arrangements are usually made seven days before the intended stay at the Island. Read More: http://davaocitybybattad.blogspot.com/2011/07/buenavista-island-resort.html
Canibad Beach
Photo from: https://itsanntidote.wordpress.com/2013/05/06/canibad-samal-beach-resort-hot-spot-this-summer/
Canibad Beach Resort in Barangay Aundanao Samal Island is a great place to go if you want to get away from the noise of honking vehicle and stressful life in the city. It is just a few minutes ride from Davao City plus a 10 minute walk downhill before you reach the Canibad Cove with white sand and irresistible cool splashing water.
It is one of the beach resorts which is less developed, guests should not expect to perceive classy restaurants and air-conditioned rooms. For those who want to stay overnight at the beach, it is advisable to bring a tent with you, cottages are also available for around P200 pesos per night. Since there are no restaurants in the resort, cooking your own food in designated areas is a good idea.
Despite the simplicity of the place, guests who love to take pictures will not be disappointed. Canibad Beach Resort still has a lot of beautiful subjects to offer – the nature itself will welcome you. Read More: https://fepa11.wordpress.com/2013/01/25/canibad/
Chema’s by the Sea
Photo from: https://www.travelbook.ph/philippines/davao/samal_island/chemas_by_the_sea_901256/
Samal Island is one city that offers beach resorts and recreation area where everyone will have a real and unique bond with nature. To be one with the mother earth is to plunge into its realms so we can feel its natural soothing comfort. Samal Island is a place if you want your soul to be still.
Chema’s by the Sea Beach Resort is the simplest place I’ve been through in Samal. Simplicity is beauty as many defies it. And Chema’s is one great place to suffice you with the authentic beauty of nature. It was maintained just the way it is. One thing that makes Chema’s a simple yet elegant resort is its landscape. It was filled with dead corals and some hard wood. The landscape made Chema’s a resort by the sea it is. The theme was just right for the place or shall I say kudos for the founder of the resort. The name really described the area or the resort magnificently. It’s like pulling off the water from the sea and tsaaran! There is Chema’s by the Sea Beach Resort. Costa Marina Beach Resort
Photo from: http://davaoregionph.blogspot.com/2014/04/costa-marina-beach-resort-samal.html#.WaLvrNGQxaQ
Costa Marina Beach resort is one of the more underrated but very beautiful beach resorts on Samal Island. The resort is just right across the Davao Gulf from Davao City, just minutes from the port located in the Lanang area.
Costa Marina Beach Resort is one of the most accessible resorts on Samal Island, along with Paradise Island Beach Park and Resort, Sonrisa de V Beach Resort and BluJazz Beach Resort. But while it is accessible, the resort still offers the much-coveted privacy that its competitors fall short on. Costa Marina is almost never crowded and that’s what makes it special. Dayang Beach
Photo from: https://iamsiena.wordpress.com/
The beach in front of the resort has fine white sand near the water’s edge but is composed of crushed corals for the greater part. The turquoise waters are clear and quite inviting but with moderately strong waves this day we decided not to take a chance.
There’s a virtual forest of coconut palms all over the resort, making for an excellent shade. Dayang Beach faces west; we could only imagine how great the sunset views would have been had we stayed for the night here. Attractive native-style cottages amidst well-kept gardens grace the resort grounds which are kept meticulously clean. It would have made for a peaceful and relaxing overnight stay, except that there is no running water at the resort. Hof Gorei Beach Resort
Photo from: http://www.awnwtravel.com/davao.html
Hof Gorei Beach Resort is a beautifully landscaped resort in a tropical themed setting nestled in a quiet and secluded hillside terrain of lush foliage southwest of Samal Island. The Resort got its unique name from a picturesque, small dairy farm in the Alps of Salzburg, Austria. What started as a mere hideaway for the owners of the Resort, the Kroelle family, with only a few nipa huts intended for close friends of the family, eventually transformed it into an exclusive beach resort for travelers and tourists.
Since then, the resort has become one of the popular destinations for water sport activities such as, scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, kayaking, banana boat rides, para-sailing, beach volleyball, island cruises, sightseeing tours, and even fish feeding at the floating wharf. There are also board games such as chess, scrabble, or darts which are available upon request. Read More: http://davaocitybybattad.blogspot.com/2011/10/hof-gorei-beach-resort.html
Isla Reta Beach Resort
Photo from: http://www.aliceofsweden.com/
Another best beach resort located in Talicud Island is Isla Reta Beach Resort.. Talikud is a Cebuano term of the “back”, it is so because Talikud island can be seen at the back of Samal island.
There are quite a few restaurants to choose from on this resort so you will never get bored with the dining options. However, it is advisable that you bring your own food. The price is around 50% more than the city rates, maybe because people have no other place to get the food in the area. You can have bountiful lunch at the provided tables with your family and friends.
You can also enjoy strolling to the rocky portion of the island, it has more coral and fish compared to other public areas. With your snorkeling gear, you can witness the young coral and the various marine life living there. Sea urchins present on the beach might spoiled your fun, just keep your feet away from them.
The seashore of Isla Reta beach resort holds a potent lure for the sun bathers. You can either sleep on tent, on small huts, or in a hammock hang in between the trees for relaxing afternoon siesta.
The Isla Reta is behind a small village, still, there are regular trips for tourists and travelers up to 3pm. It only takes a ten-minute boat ride to reach Samal Island, plus it takes around 30 to 45 minutes trip to Talikud island. Kaputian Beach Park
Photo from: https://jeyyd.wordpress.com/2012/12/26/take-a-break-talicud-island/
Kaputian was our point of entry to Samal Island from Talicud Island, which are both part of what is commonly knowns as IGACOS, short for the somewhat long Island Garden City of Samal in Davao Del Norte. Prior to the trip, we thought that the only way to go to Samal Island from Talicud Island is to go back to Sta. Ana wharf in Davao and then take another boat ride to Samal Island. The habal habal driver who took us to Babusanta and Dayang beach the previous day however said that there are available boats that we could charter to take us to Samal island for P300 only and offered to find a boat for us to rent. We would have taken his offer had we not spoken to one of the workers at Isla Reta later that same day and found out that there are actually passenger boats going to Kaputian from Sta. Cruz wharf. Fare? P20 each only. Sta. Cruz wharf is just 5 minutes walk away from Isla Reta. Read More: https://www.senyorlakwatsero.com/2011/08/30/davao-samal-islands-kaputian-beach-park-resort/

Leticia by the Sea
Photo from: http://www.travelfoodfinds.com/2011/11/
Leticia by the Sea. It is an incredibly beautiful oasis with lovely rolling gardens. The rooms and even the bathrooms are tastefully decorated. Everything in this resort is well-thought out. And the service, impeccable.
Just behind the resort’s perfectly manicured garden facade is a secret paradise, tucked carefully between groves of coconut trees.
Leticia by the Sea is a perfect place to retreat from the urban jungle. But this is also an awesome place for those who love some water adventure. They offer kayaking, diving, and paparazzi and banana boat rides. Read More: http://www.travelfoodfinds.com/2011/11/
Paradise Island
Paradise Island is definitely the most renowned seashore resort in Davao. It is found in the Island of Samal. The resort claims a wide accessibility, cost-effective services value, friendly personnel, a powdery white sand and pristine blue waters. You will need to ride a ferry boat to attain the Paradise Island. Among the obsession of the beach front personnel is cleanliness that you will be shocked of how swift they cleanse the location as soon as they see litters and garbages scattered close to the place. Paradise Island also has a mini zoo in which you can see various varieties of birds and unique animals. Overnight stays will call for you to pick the cottage of your choice that can charges P1,500 to P3,000. Read More: http://www.bpcna.org/

Secdea Beach Resort
Photo from: https://wayph.com/secdea-beach-resort-samal-island/
Secdea Beach Resort, a 56-hectare resort positioned in San Isidro, Babak can be reached through a 40-minute drive from Babak wharf. At present, Secdea is probably recognized as one of the most beautiful and popular resorts, that is frequently visited in Samal owing to its nice reviews from local and international tourists.
In addition to that, Secdea takes pride of its picturesque beach setting, floating cottage, multi-sports pavilion, a clubhouse, posh cottages for overnight stay and brilliantly-designed furniture. The price of Secdea’s villas may be quite expensive for some since it can exclusively accommodate a big group of guests but nonetheless, it is all worth it since offers only well-to-do, hotel-resembling accommodation, unspoilt beach, a fine-looking infinity restaurant serving delectable dishes and a state-of-the-art infinity pool which features a breathtaking overlooking view of the seascapes and landscapes. Sonrisa de V Palm Hill Beach Resort
Photo from: https://kfcsharing.wordpress.com/2014/08/05/its-more-fun-in-the-philippines-poem/
Sonrisa De V (also known as Palm Hill Beach Resort in the past) is a favorite destination for family outings not just because of its affordability but because of its accessibility and not being too crowded, a factor which truly sets it apart from the other nearby resorts such as Blue Jazz and Paradise Island. On the other hand, don’t raise your expectations too high since the amenities in the resort are not superb compared to the other renowned first-class resorts in Samal. Furthermore, the resort doesn’t have its own restaurant; it only has a mini store which sells cigarettes, liquor, simple food and other personal necessities of the guests. This is the best beach near Davao to go swimming even it’s low tide. Read More: http://www.samalguide.com/resort/sonrisa-de-v-palm-hill-and-beach-resort/
Sunset Beach Resort
Photo from: http://www.samalguide.com/resort/sunset-beach-resort/
Our boss in the office initiated for a summer beach outing. Yet, we are scarce with budget and so, another office mate suggested that we’ll go to Sunset Beach Park Resort because it is affordable there.
The ambiance of the place is generally cool. It has many trees serving as shade when the sun really gets hot. There are a number of open cottages at the beach front and closed cottages are numerous as well for those who want to go overnight. I heard from friends that during night, the place gets really lively because there are fire dancers and there is also a live band. I have not experienced it myself though because we went home in the afternoon.
When you are at Sunset Beach Resort, you can enjoy water sports. You may rent a jet ski or ride a banana boat and have fun under the sun. Read More: http://davaoinfosite.com/resorts/basking-at-the-sunset-beach-park-resort
