AMAZING BEACHES & RESORTS

Davao del Norte is one of the most progressive provinces in Region XI. It has seven municipalities, namely, Asuncion, Braulio E. Dujali, Carmen, Kapalong, New Corella, Sto. Tomas, and Talaingod, and three cities of Tagum, which is the capital as well as center of commerce and governance, Panabo, and the Island Garden City of Samal, known for its white pristine beaches, great diving sites, and well preserved flora and fauna. This is where the world-renowned Pearl Farm Beach Resort is located along with other tourist destinations dotting this island of adventure. Hof Gorei Beach Resort

Hof Gorei Beach Resort is a beautifully landscaped resort in a tropical themed setting nestled in a quiet and secluded hillside terrain of lush foliage southwest of Samal Island. The Resort got its unique name from a picturesque, small dairy farm in the Alps of Salzburg, Austria. What started as a mere hideaway for the owners of the Resort, the Kroelle family, with only a few nipa huts intended for close friends of the family, eventually transformed it into an exclusive beach resort for travelers and tourists.

Since then, the resort has become one of the popular destinations for water sport activities such as, scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, kayaking, banana boat rides, para-sailing, beach volleyball, island cruises, sightseeing tours, and even fish feeding at the floating wharf. There are also board games such as chess, scrabble, or darts which are available upon request. Read More: http://davaocitybybattad.blogspot.com/2011/10/hof-gorei-beach-resort.html

Isla Reta Beach Resort

Another best beach resort located in Talicud Island is Isla Reta Beach Resort.. Talikud is a Cebuano term of the “back”, it is so because Talikud island can be seen at the back of Samal island.

There are quite a few restaurants to choose from on this resort so you will never get bored with the dining options. However, it is advisable that you bring your own food. The price is around 50% more than the city rates, maybe because people have no other place to get the food in the area. You can have bountiful lunch at the provided tables with your family and friends.

You can also enjoy strolling to the rocky portion of the island, it has more coral and fish compared to other public areas. With your snorkeling gear, you can witness the young coral and the various marine life living there. Sea urchins present on the beach might spoiled your fun, just keep your feet away from them.

The seashore of Isla Reta beach resort holds a potent lure for the sun bathers. You can either sleep on tent, on small huts, or in a hammock hang in between the trees for relaxing afternoon siesta.

The Isla Reta is behind a small village, still, there are regular trips for tourists and travelers up to 3pm. It only takes a ten-minute boat ride to reach Samal Island, plus it takes around 30 to 45 minutes trip to Talikud island. Kaputian Beach Park

Kaputian was our point of entry to Samal Island from Talicud Island, which are both part of what is commonly knowns as IGACOS, short for the somewhat long Island Garden City of Samal in Davao Del Norte. Prior to the trip, we thought that the only way to go to Samal Island from Talicud Island is to go back to Sta. Ana wharf in Davao and then take another boat ride to Samal Island. The habal habal driver who took us to Babusanta and Dayang beach the previous day however said that there are available boats that we could charter to take us to Samal island for P300 only and offered to find a boat for us to rent. We would have taken his offer had we not spoken to one of the workers at Isla Reta later that same day and found out that there are actually passenger boats going to Kaputian from Sta. Cruz wharf. Fare? P20 each only. Sta. Cruz wharf is just 5 minutes walk away from Isla Reta. Read More: https://www.senyorlakwatsero.com/2011/08/30/davao-samal-islands-kaputian-beach-park-resort/
