Mode of transportation Zamboanga del Norte can be reached by land, air and sea transportation. Land transportation services are being served by buses. With regard to air transportation, the province has 1 domestic airport and 3 airstrips. These three airstrips were located in the municipalities of Liloy, Siocon and Sirawai. Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines are serving daily flights to Manila and Cebu, and scheduled flights to Davao. Jeepneys are still the popular mode of transportation in all the major commercial areas of the region. Tricycles can also take the traveler around town. Since the cities in the region are relatively small, a traveler would enjoy the city-view on foot.
Moreover, there are five seaports in the province, of which the major means of sea transportation is the Port of Dapitan. Of these five seaports, three caters purely on cargos.There are eight shipping lines operating at the port of Dapitan, with 17 vessels case to port. Of the 17 vessels only 4 are purely cargo boat.
