Moro Watch Tower was a Refuge for Women and Children

The Moro Watchtower was a former lookout point for Muslim crusaders who reportedly to take its women. The watchtower was more massive in size, as women and children took refuge there while the men battled against the pirates. Now only a small section is left as a huge part of the watchtower was torn down to make way for the school that now surrounds the relic. The Moro Watch Tower lies at the beach of the municipality of Guinsiliban. The tower is very old and was used as a watchtower to warn the inhabitants of the coming of Muslim marauders that often come to inflict them with much damage. In Guinsiliban, behind the elementary school by the pier, are the remains of this centuries-old sight, which used to guard against possible Moro attacks from the mainland.
