The Tangub Hot Spring is one of the best-kept secrets in Camiguin. Everybody has heard of it but only a little know the exact place. We asked the fishermen to bring us there and they brought us to the Sunken Cemetery. Why? Because the Tangub Hot Spring is in the Sea at normal water level. Located at Naasag, Mambajao, Tangub Hot Spring is one among the many volcanic hot springs in the country. The water temperature changes along with the tidal changes – from chilly cold to lukewarm, warm or hot. In some instances, the water at the center of the pool is warm while the surrounding is lukewarm as the cold sea water combines with the hot spring water. Tangub Hot Spring is an interesting hot spring located on Camiguin Island near the shore close to the Sunken Cemetery. Most of the spring is submerged and can be partly seen during low tide. The spring can also be examined by scuba diving or snorkeling, as visibility is excellent and it is also a recommended spot for observing underwater life.
