A vivid and accurate interpretation of the Panayanons deep love for our birthplace and strong sense of responsibility towards our fellow Panayanons. It was inspired by the “Dakung Lingganay” or the big bell in which the town is well-known for.

Lingga-anay Fiesta is one of the Kasadyahan here in Capiz. It is celebrated every first week of May. It is a one week celebrations for all Panay-anons. People enjoyed watching the crowning of the fiesta queen, cultural show and Barangay night. Kasadyahan sa Capiz honor the Panay-ayanun. Lingga-anay Festival is the annual Municipal Fiesta of Panay celebrated to pay homage to the Biggest Bell in Asia and to display the town’s rich cultural history together with its vast marine resources. The Festival boasts a one-of-a-kind street dance accompanied not by drum beats but of rondalla, which are the distinct feature of ecotis. The Festival is a milestone in the history of Panay because it highlights the cooperation of the public officials and the residents of the town. Lingga-anay Festival is the annual Municipal Fiesta of Panay celebrated to pay homage to the Biggest Bell in Asia and to display the town’s rich cultural history together with its vast marine resources. The Festival boasts a one-of-a-kind street dance accompanied not by drum beats but of rondalla, which are the distinct feature of escotis.
Escotis is an indigenous dance of the Panayanos to test the strength of a newly constructed house involving couples who are obliged to perform the dance in a festive manner. The street dancing is staged throughout the four-day fiesta celebration. Initial participating groups come from Panay Central Elementary School, Commissioner Luis Asis National High School, Agbalo National High School, and Pawa Elementary School.
The entire event is participated by all people all over the town and its visitors. The municipal government held some activities such as painting and kite flying contest and agri-fishery biggest product contest.
