If you can’t get enough of the taste of paradise, Batlag Falls is waiting for you few aching climbs from Daranak Falls.

Several steps up the hills from Daranak Falls lies Batlag Falls. This amazing waterfall is another reason why you people should visit Tanay, Rizal very soon. It is beautiful as it is mystical. If what you want is solitude and a place to yourself, then this is the place to be. Read More: http://www.awanderfulsole.com/daranak-falls-batlag-falls-calinawan-cave-travel-guide/

At the top of Daranak is its sister falls, the Batlag falls. Also surrounded by dense forest, the water flows among the unique rock formation. There are two falls, each having a shallow catch basin that can be bathed, but be extra careful on the rocks at the flooring.

Its quiet environment adds to the enchantment of the atmosphere. No wonder it is a favorite shooting location, especially for the fantasy genre.  To gain access, you have to pay for a separate entrance fee near the Daranak falls. Toilets and cottages for rent are also available.    Read More:  http://www.tupanggala.com/daranak-and-batlag-falls/

We had wanted to head up this waterfall from Daranak during our first visit but with dark clouds looming up ahead we decided to postpone that visit for another day. Two long years later we finally got to visit Batlag.

Batlag Falls has been used as a setting for movies and TV advertisements. It is privately owned and charges double the entrance rate compared to Daranak – P100 per person. The trail up towards the falls from the entrance is cemented making it a relatively easy trek except for the fact that it is somewhat on the steep side.  Read More:  http://shoestringtravelers.com/?q=node/100
