Buganihan Festival is held in Compostela, Province of Compostela Valley. The festival is celebrated every 25th of July until the 1st of August. Its highlight is the colorful street parade. Buganihan Festival of Compostela is the festival of the bustling trade and commercial town of Compostela is a thanksgiving celebration for bountiful harvest and a tribute to the bagani warriors of the past. Buganihan Festival is a colorful, spirited and bountiful celebration every 1st of August intertwined with the Araw ng Compostela. Locals portray its culture, heritage, and practices in honor of the native indigenous people, the so-called “Mandayas”.

It’s a week-long celebration and many visitors mostly from neighboring town visits.
