This is a quick getaway destination for local families, barkadas and teenagers especially during summer since this place have a natural cool and refreshing waters. It has a very clean river called Canawagan River which is the main source of freshwater in the swimming pools. The resort have picnic grounds and barbecue facilities. Cross on the hanging bridge and enjoy swimming in the river or explore the rock formations. Calawagan River received a national award from the DILG being the Cleanest Inland Body of Water in the Philippines. Calawagan Mountain Resort is a actually a free flowing river. The local government of Paluan has converted it into a resort, building cottages and hanging bridge for visitors to cross and reach the other side of the river where cottages are situated.
There are two swimming pools. There’s one at the main entrance, and another at the other side of the area. The pool near the river actually uses the water of the river itself. The water is being directed to the constructed pool. It takes around 5 hours before it can be filled with water.
