CABAN COVE

The Caban Cove dive site is fairly sheltered. There are exotic coral formations, plenty of small tropical fish and an interesting small drop-off that goes down in a graduated “steps”. This is a good choice for shallow dives.

Nice around the edges of the cove, though apparently lots of trash and sea snakes in the cove itself, hence the name.

We passed by Caban Island, which was still part of Batangas. There were yachts and speedboats parked in the middle of the sea. I was amazed at the topography of these bigger islands surrounding Sombrero. I actually felt I was in Anguib in North Cagayan.
