How to Get There

This Way

Planning a trip to Banaue always meant a 10- to 12-hour road trip along the Pan-Philippine highway. But starting June 1, traveling to this remote destination will be quicker and easier because of a chartered flight from Clark International Airport in Pampanga to Bagabag airport in Nueva Vizcaya.

Operated on a chartered service by Wakay Tours, and in partnership with Platinum Skies, the flight from Clark to Bagabag takes about 30 minutes. Driving from Manila to the Clark International airport takes around 2 hours, and Bagabag airport to the Banaue rice terraces also takes another 2 hours.

This new flight will thus shorten the travel time from Manila to Ifugao to 5 hours.  Read More:  https://www.rappler.com/life-and-style/travel/ph-travel/170196-clark-bagabag-inaugural-flight

That Way

Getting to Banaue and Ifugao is difficult and long, but well worth the journey north. The journey from Manila to Banaue takes about 9 hours by bus (traffic can add about 2 hours). The other option is to fly to Baguio and then take a bus from there, but it doesn’t save much time.

The buses are operated by a few companies and the most well know is called Ohayami Transit. They operate night buses, which leave their station (located in the Sampaloc area) every evening between 9 and 10 p.m. (During high season there is often more than one bus leaving each night.)

The easiest way to buy tickets is to purchase them online from BookAway.com. You’ll pay online and the ticket is sent by email. Making the purchase on this site saves you from making the ride back and forth to the station, which is pretty far away from the city center.  Read More:  https://www.twowanderingsoles.com/blog/banaue-rice-terraces-how-to-get-there-and-what-to-do

Another Way

The Banaue rice terraces are located in the mountainous  north central region of Luzon island. While Banaue town is only 350 km from Manila, a mere three hour drive on an expressway if it were in the lowlands, this route is about 9 hours because it’s a two-lane highway with many switchbacks in the mountains.

We recommend OHAYAMI TRANS. bus company located at Lacson Avenue corner Fajardo Street.Sampaloc Manila.Fronting Metro Oil Gas Station and near Sampaloc Fire Station

For booking you can contact this number: 09276493055 & 025160501 .The bus departs from Manila at 10:00 pm .  Read More:  http://www.nativevillage-inn.com/?page_id=372
