Cabgan Island (or just Cabgan), is the long-stretched island you will see from afar.
Its fine white sand and crystal-clear waters will welcome you and will feed your excitement to hop out of the boat.
The island has scenic views in every corner. Particularly, a cliff made of limestone rocks facing the Pacific Ocean found in the western part of the island we Barobohanons called West Life. Be warned! Waves there love to go wild.
Don’t forget to check out also the back view of island. It’s exceptional I won’t give you a hint. Read more: https://travelsandjourneysite.wordpress.com/2016/10/22/islands-worth-to-visit-cabgan-and-turtle-islands-of-barobo-surigao-del-sur/

Cabgan Island is a 20 to 30-minute boat ride from the boat port of Barobo at the back of old public market. The sea is calm at around four in the afternoon we head our way to the island. I always love the scenic view of the horizon as I saw the huge white cloud formation in contrast with the greenish tone of the mountains and the dark blue color of the sea.
Cabgan Island can be seen afar as well as the famous Turtle Island. It is named Turtle Island because of the shape of the island in whole while at its back there is a small island that also resembles a small turtle. Did you know that they have the best beaches and islands too and one of those is Cabgan Island found in Municipality of Barobo right next Tagbina and Hinatuan?
The island is never been discovered by the public like it was so virgin and untouchable even people of Barobo but it’s really safe. There are two families who lived there according to people of Barobo but I never encountered them maybe in middle part, the island is just a small one that you can walk around for more than an hour, full of tress and there’s a cliff right behind, no accommodation, no electricity, water to drink, even comfort room and if you’re planning to go there just bring your own food, because the feeling when you reach there like you’re feeling lost or “Survivor Philippines” if you knew that, but I like idea. The island is extremely beautiful, white shoreline and of course crystal blue water. Right beside the island is an island too named Turtle Island it is because of the shape like a turtle.
