Bantayan Park, a haven located half a kilometer from the heart of the City of Bago boasts of both historical and recreational developments. It is beside an estuary which runs along the mouth of Bago River.

Bantayan, from the Hiligaynon word “balantayan” meaning a “a port or place of waiting”. started as a small community of settlers from Panay Island. It played a key role in the succesfull and bloodless Negros Revolution which resulted in the attainment of freedom from Spanish colonizers.

From the entrance visitors will be awed by the calm inherent in the place. The flowing river pulls you forward to stand or sit by the railings and embrace the peace. While sitting, your eyes can feast on the still existing nipa palms, the several amenities of the place and the long strip of road suitable for exercises. The cultures of the city can also be learned from Bantayan as the Showroom will show you all you need to learn.

Mobility is nonstop in the place from early morning till night. Sunrise sees joggers doing their thing, fishermen docking, people from the opposite island disembarking from the boats. At noon, families can be seen eating packed lunch along the railings or having them in the snack houses. The romantic sunset beckons couples and lovers alike. Energy runs on Friday nights as bands play their music. If you’re tired the able ladies of Sparadise will soothe your tired muscles with their massage.   Read More: https://bantayanpark.wordpress.com/author/bantayanpark/
