Asik-Asik Falls or Dulao Falls for the locals is situated in Sitio Dulao of Barangay Upper Dado, Alamada, North Cotabato. It is nested in the lower slope of Mount Ragang, also called as Mount Piapayungan or Blue Mountain, an active strato-volcano that sits in the boundary of Lanao del Sur and North Cotabato. There are various tales and side stories of the discovery of this natural wonder. Some say that it was accidentally discovered by military during a clearing operations, while other say that locals already know the place ever since. The latter seems more true and probable, a beauty of such grandeur is impossible to have gone unnoticed. The locals probably just kept it as secret or ignored it thinking it was just a normal scene.  Read More:  https://www.lakwatsero.com/spots/asik-asik-falls/#sthash.CKS3amEh.dpbs

They awarded a photo of the Asik-Asik waterfalls in the mountainous Alamada region, and in doing so, announced the existence of this natural wonder to the world.

The picture went viral on social media, and Filipinos were stunned by this discovery. The beautiful falls had been unknown to the public for a remarkably long time; the residents of the nearby village of Sitio Dulao had only come across the site two years earlier, after a series of floods and forest fires destroyed a significant chunk of the forest that was hiding it.  Read More:  https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/asikasik-falls

Asik-Asik Falls is as enchanting as any waterfall can be. Her allure will instantly take you into a page of a fairy tale book. Her magic is irresistible. The kind that will keep you entangled in a seemingly endless dream. She bemuses while slowly working her spell on you. Her pristine waters cascading from stone walls covered in lush curtain-like greens is like no other. She will keep you wondering but she will never ever give away her secrets. She is a tease, keeps you coming back no matter how painfully agonizing are the roads leading to her. Her coldness is excruciatingly refreshing. Just before you know it, she has you completely wrapped in her hands and there’s no more escaping her charm.  Read More:  https://www.awanderfulsole.com/asik-asik-falls-the-unspoiled-curtain-waterfall-in-north-cotabato/
