Tarangban falls is likely one of the highest waterfalls in Calbayog City. It looks like being dropped down several times while the water passes through the big rocks and that’s what makes it a stunning landscape to behold. The waterfall owns an interesting brink and looks so wide. And while the water flows down in slope direction and bumping on a huge rock, it appears wider and jaw-dropping as you keep gazing to its natural beauty. The water is cold, which will surely mollify your jaded body after your arduous trek. You can also get near the waterfalls and get to experience the natural massage of Tarangban Falls. Tarangban Falls is located in Tinaplacan, Calbayog City. It is approximately 4 kilometers away from the main road and a 30 minutes hike from the jump-off point. It is a sight to behold as the crystal clear water cascades through the different rock formations. You can spend all day watching it while enjoying the refreshing flow of the water.

How to get there:  From Tacloban City you can ride a van going to Calbayog City and just tell the driver to drop you at Tinaplacan main road (there is a signboard going to Tarangban Falls). From the main road, you can take a habal-habal going to the jump-off point. From the jump-off, you need to hike for about 30 minutes to reach the Tarangban Falls.   Read More:   https://makoysworld.wordpress.com/2016/12/03/the-majestic-tarangban-falls/

TARANGBAN FALLS

Calbayog is dubbed as the “Waterfall City” in Samar because it is a home of many waterfalls. I’ve visited several waterfalls before, and the ones in Calbayog are something else. They have their own mystic and unique aura.  Like the Aguinid Falls in Cebu, the waterfalls in Calbayog is also a series of waterfalls connected in one long river. The only difference is it’s bigger, the river is wider, and the current is stronger. The landscape itself will surely take your breath away.

Tarangban Falls is the highest waterfall and the first one to visit. The habal-habal will drop you at the river just below Bangon Falls, then you have  to trek uphill to reach Tarangban Falls. The trek to Tarangban is steep and narrow. It is in the middle of the woods. Better get your oxygen tank ready because you’ll be walking for 30-minutes on an ascending trail.

The suffering is worth it. Tarangban Falls is beyond expectation. It is truly marvelous!  Read More:   http://ironexplores.com/calbayog-samar-waterfall-hopping-tarangban-bangon-larik-falls/
