MUST-SEE DESTINATIONS

Let’s face it. If destinations have personalities, Nueva Ecija would be that stunning, mysterious, reflective, demure type who would want to be discovered but stands too quiet among the quaint corners of the Philippines. Given this, there exist a few people who would dare to get to know her, but once they do, they’ll fall in love with her all at once. She’s the best kept secret our country has to offer. She’s phenomenal.

So If you think that Nueva Ecija is just about “palayan” (rice fields), think again! The province has surprisingly picturesque lakes, brilliant turquoise waters of rivers, the best 50peso zipline, a very interesting hanging bridge best for adrenaline junkies, a series of stunning waterfalls, gorgeous limestones, and yes, I heard, thermal pools too! (That, we need to find out more soon)

Nueva Ecija is a landlocked province located in Central Luzon. It is also considered as the main rice growing province here in the country and that is why it is often referred to as “The Rice Granary of the Philippines.”

However, unknown to many, the beautiful Nueva Ecija holds one of the most stunning park our country has to offer.  Read More:  https://www.wheninmanila.com/unbelievable-travel-destinations-in-nueva-ecija-you-never-knew-existed/

Nueva Ecija is the site where a famous tourist attraction of Region III is found. This is popularly known as the Gabaldon Falls.  The Waterfall of Gabaldon is a ten-feet body of water that is beautifully surrounded with those alluring and huge rock formations and which has an aqua pura that is as cold as ice.  The natives of Nueva Ecija have claimed that the Falls of Gabaldon in Nueva Ecija have therapeutic waters which are extremely crystal clear; and are very much potable for human consumption.

Descriptively, this very enriching main attraction in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija dearly possesses those relaxing waters which had incredibly emanated from the sprawling and skyrocketing mountains; which are just above the Falls of Gabaldon in Nueva Ecija.  Interestingly, millions of tourists who want to have a unique and thrilling nature headlong while they are enjoying their stay in the Philippines have to leisurely pass by another fascinating symbol of pride for the people of Nueva Ecija. It is nonetheless the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, where there are Olympic-sized pools that might also captivate their attention and eventually making it as there next stop over.  Read More:  http://driftwoodjourneys.com/the-beauty-and-splendor-of-gabaldon-falls/

Located five kilometers from the main road, this multipurpose dam is the source of hydroelectric power and irrigation for some farmlands in Nueva Ecija. There is no entrance fee but you need to show some credentials (like valid IDs) as well as the purpose of your tour. Security is a bit lax especially for first-timers and tourists so we are able to enter smoothly. There is ample space for parking which are amply provided shade by trees.

According to what was posted in the signages here, the Pantabangan dam and appurtenant structures is the first and largest infrastructure project of its kind ever undertaken in the Philippines in the seventies. This project was constructed under contract with the Hydro Resources Contractors Corporation, a consortium of local construction firms who won the right to implement the contract work. Started on March 3, 1971, the Pantabangan Dam was completed in August 1974, seventeen months ahead of schedule, seven months ahead of its contract time granted to the contractors.  Read More:  http://www.tupanggala.com/pantabangan-lake/
