Palay, it is the main product of municipality of Llanera. It is because three fourths of the total land area of the municipaltiy is use for the production of rice. This induced the Mayor of Llanera is organizing a festival. A festival which unite all the community people of Llanera. United people which aims to promote their main product, the palay. And they called the event, KAPAGAYAN FESTIVAL.
 
Kapagayan festival started since 2009 to give thanks for the fruitful harvest of the farmers. The festival lasts for 5 days, from May 7 to May 11. Celebrated every 11th day of May in recognition of the Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Llanera.
