MATINLOC SHRINE

Matinloc Shrine is built to train young men to serve the church. Located hours away from the mainland, a structure like this which is big and nice is very unlikely. However, faith seems the most powerful thing in this world that even the impossible is made possible.
The shrine is an abandon building like a ghost house. They closed it because of unwanted circumstances in the Catholic faith. It was deemed operational until nobody wants to pursue the vocation. Until the priest or caretaker got sick and it was very hard to bring him to the mainland for Medication. I am not just so sure if he died or not. However that point made this Shine to close.
Today it is one of the most visited sites because it offers a breath taking view of the sea from above. You just have to brave yourself while climbing cliff of pointed rocks to see that breath taking view. You just have to be careful in doing so because one wrong step might lead you to be buried in El Nido specifically Matinloc Shrine. Matinloc Island, the longest slim island in El Nido, has a secret beach, which is a pocket of white sand beach at the corner of a sinkhole, that is inaccessible by boat and surrounded by steep rock walls. To reach it, divers must swim underwater through a narrow crevice in a rock wall. At noon, the sun streams in through the opening, allowing a play of light and shadow against its limestone walls.
There is nothing more interesting than visiting a shrine in the middle of sea in El Nido. Hidden by towering karst cliffs on the western coast of Matinloc Island, Matinloc Shrine in El Nido, Palawan was built in 1982 and subsequently abandoned. Tourists are allowed to make a stop here for the view. Read More: https://palawanplace.blogspot.com/2015/08/matinloc-island-of-palawan.html

There is nothing more interesting than visiting a shrine in the middle of sea in El Nido. Matinloc Shrine is one of the many remarkable attractions to visit when doing Tour C. Matinloc comes from a Cuyunin word “matinlo” which means beautiful in English. In fact, the beauty of the island is also appreciated from above as it forms a heart when seen in an aerial view.
Most tourists would find the Shrine creepy and mysterious because of its unfinished structures and the chilly atmosphere. As soon as you dock in the island, you will be will be welcomed by the owner’s unfinished mansion and shrine. The island is said to be owned by Jablon Fernandez, a local resident. You can tour inside the mansion and even a mini museum underground. Photos during the construction are found inside, which includes a miraculous and bountiful harvest of fishes in the island.
