MALCAPUYA ISLAND

If you want to fully savor the beauty that Malcapuya Island has to offer then you have to spare another day for an island tour to enjoy and appreciate it more.  Prices of tours with meals may vary depending on your chosen menu and the number of people joining the group tour so I suggest you plan and discuss the total fees with the agency or the boat driver for more convenience or you may opt to buy your own meals to save more. Malcapuya Island is about an hour and a half boat ride from Coron town proper. Some may say that it is just one of the usual long stretches of white sand bar; however, it has more to showcase its tourists than just its fine, white sand. On the right most portion of Malcapuya, you can witness the rocky coastlines covering the clear blue waters behind it. The island is really isolated with no residents except for its caretaker so you can really have a peaceful day to unwind and rest in this fascinating island of Coron.  Read More: ttps://wayph.com/coron-palawan-travel-guide/

Palawan is undeniably one of the Philippines’ best destination (if not the best). Having traveled to a number of beaches for the past years, I sometimes feel that they all look the same. During my 4th Palawan trip (and 2nd Coron trip), I decided to include Malcapuya Island in my itinerary.

And was I glad I did include it this time!!! Malcapuya is such a sight to behold. Well, there is still the white sand dotted shore touched by cerulean waters character that is typical of a Palawan beach. But there is something refreshing that my senses could not pinpoint specifically. I was actually lost for words that I don’t know which superlative to use to depict its beauty.

The boat ride from Coron mainland to Malcapuya Island takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on how rough the waters are. The boats usually dock at the north side of the Island, from there; a short walk is made over to the south side. A long stretch of glimmering white powdery sand greets every visitor.

The water is way more than inviting that one would jump their way to it. It is a delight to snorkel because a lot of fishes would swim with you. Together with Dicalubuan Island (Banana Island), I regard them as my best island beaches in Coron. Read More:  https://roamulofied.wordpress.com/2015/07/22/malcapuya/

The fine white sand on the island is perfect for a lazy day on the beach. Locally regarded as the ultimate virgin beach, the sand rivals Boracay’s very own, the water surrounding the Island is as clear as the morning sky with an abundance of corals and various kinds of marine life which makes it the most ideal for snorkelling activities.
