Daranak Falls is one of the flagship destinations of Tanay and is a popular summer getaway for locals and tourists from in and out of the country.

A favorite location shooting area of most local and international movies and advertising outfits in the country, Daranak Falls nestles calmly at the foot of the Tanay mountains, preserved with the natural vegetation, complemented with enchanting waterfalls, ponds, and rivers cascading through elaborate tropical trees and plants. Daranak Falls is 14 meters high and surrounded by lush forests. The crystal clear cool waters cascade down into a 30-ft deep catch basin amidst boulders and greenery. It then flows into the river that trekkers to the falls can follow.

It’s located in Barangay Tandang Kutyo in the town of Tanay. Since recognizing the falls as a popular tourist destination, the province of Rizal has begun efforts in preserving its natural beauty despite the influx of visitors. During the summer, the falls, the pool and the river can be quite crowded given its proximity to Metro Manila.

The falls are open from 8AM to 5PM everyday.  Read More:  https://expertworldtravel.com/guide-daranak-falls/

The nearby province of Rizal in eastern Metro Manila is fast becoming a popular destination for day trippers and nature lovers. This because the province is home to amazing natural wonders including some of the country’s beautiful and easily accessible waterfalls.

In the town of Tanay alone, there are numerous waterfalls perched on the mountainside of Sierra Madre Mountain Range such as Daranak Falls in Barangay Tandang Kutyo.

Sitting in a government-owned land, Daranak Falls’ main attraction is the 14-meter high waterfalls cascading into a deep catch basin that serves as its natural pool. This is aside from other smaller waterfalls situated in the area including the one across with cold and strong water freely flowing through the boulders into the same catch basin, perfect for a natural water massage.  Read More: https://www.lakwatsero.com/spots/daranak-falls-of-tanay-rizal/#sthash.MzxQXyYj.dpbs
