Derived from the name of the Barangay that covers, Looc Pebble beach is one of the promising spots in Surigao City. Looc is the next barangay of Mabua. The beach is not yet a popular destination and there are only few accommodations within the area. In fact, our group were the only visitors during that day. I have discovered a priceless treasure in Barangay Budlingin, Alegria, Surigao del Norte – the less visited Lumondo Falls. Less visited, its natural beauty is preserved and close to untouched.
Cascade of small lagoons with crystal-clear waters embedded on huge rocks is an opening salvo as one approaches the location of the waterfall. Huge Rocks’ formations are naturally set-up and engineered. The waterfall is literally photogenic and majestic. The place is a rich “flora and fauna environment”. Reptiles like “bebang”, different species of birds, rich vegetation of ornamental and non-ornamental plants are common sightings in the area. According to the locals, flying Lemurs are also seen visiting the river close to the waterfalls. Read More: http://www.travelingmorion.com/2013/04/morions-phototravel-diaries-less.html
When we arrived in Mabua, I was totally stunned. I never thought that the water will be faultlessly clear and impeccably calm. Yes, there were no white and powdery sand but I was impressed, relentlessly enjoying every hop and shoots.
The other end of the strip features towering boulders. We cautiously climb through the cuts on its side and positioned atop to witness the entirety of Mabua’s shore. “What an amazing sight!” were the mere words I uttered while peacefully settled in the elevated area.
Another very exciting scene to look forward to in Mabua Pebble beach is the majestic sunset. Yes, we found another spot among Philippines’ 7,107 islands to witness a beautiful sunset. Read More: https://www.freedomwall.net/travel/mabua-pebble-beach-surigao/
