Much of the historical significance of Dapitan lies in a seaside village outside the center. The Rizal Shrine in Talisay is a protected patch of trees and bush-lined paths. Inside are nipa huts, which are the vestiges of the structures Rizal created during his stay here. All of the huts – a dorm, a lodging for patients, a students’ workshop, and a clinic – are actually modern recreations, though they have been rebuilt with the same materials and on the same spot as their predecessors. A museum near the park entrance contains a number of Rizal’s artifacts.  Read More:  https://jayexiomo.wordpress.com/2014/09/06/dapitan-in-rizals-footsteps/

One of the province’s most beautiful secret is tucked amid the dense foliage of the town of Tampilisan, a majestic waterfalls on the verge of breaking out – Situbo Falls.

Named after the village’s name, Situbo Falls is located in the small barrio of Santo Niño in Barangay Situbo, a towering two-layer cascade, possibly the province’s grandest and highest waterfalls. But despite its beauty and grandeur, the place remains an offbeat destination. In fact, even on a weekend, the chance of owning the place is very likely, thanks to its distance and isolation, its own gift and curse.

Situbo Falls is a drop of approximately 100 feet with cold water emanating from the hinterland of the town of Godod into a deep natural basin that reflects a green color on clear and sunny days, brown and murky on rainy season.  Read More:  https://www.lakwatsero.com/spots/situbo-falls-tampilisan-zamboanga-del-nortes-awesome-surprise/#sthash.f13wgAio.dpbs
