BEACHES IN NEGROS OCCIDENTAL
The Province of Negros Occidental is the western portion of the fourth largest island of the Philippines, Negros Island. The province is made up of 12 cities and 19 municipalities and is approximately 375 kilometers long from north to south. It is composed mainly of Hiligaynon-speaking people.
This summer, make Negros Occidental Province a place for you to explore.
It boasts of beautiful beaches in the southern portion of the province. In 2015, there are about 103000 tourists that visited Sipalay and only about 4000 in Hinobaan according to the records of the provincial tourism office. Campomanes Bay

Campomanes Bay is a great tourist destination, not only for summer, but for any time of the year. It also adds a dimension to the allure of Sipalay City, which is famed as the copper and gold belt of Negros Island.
The bay has an existing port that caters to medium-sized seacraft (pump boats). The enclosed shape of the bay and the presence of islets in its entrance provide calm waters even in harsh weather conditions. The bay opens to a wide expanse of coral gardens with various species of corals and fish. Campomanes Bay is excellent for diving. It’s also good for jet-skiing, kayaking, and other water sports.

Carbin Reef

One of the fast rising attractions of Negros Occidental is Carbin Reef, a 200-hectare marine sanctuary located inside the 32,000 hectares Sagay’s Marine Reserve which is dubbed as one of the most successful marine conservation programs in the Philippines. Its visibly iconic feature is the cream-colored sandbar surrounded with turquoise water that resembles the naked Guyam Island of Siargao and White Island of Camiguin.
Situated in Sagay City, Carbin Reef is bare and uninhabited, and the only concrete structure is the watch-house at the western tip of the sandbar that serves as post for coast guard and local government. There are also makeshift cottages made of bamboo and light materials for guests. Camping is not allowed, and there is no water source and any kind of plant in the sandbar. Jomabo Island Beach Resort is the only resort that I have been to where one does not have to rent a cottage for the day to shelter from the sun. There are so many luxuriant trees on the island, providing shade from the hot tropical sun. Admission to the island is P80 per head, which is less than $2 USD. BYOF! Bring your own food, as there are free BBQ grills provided. A great place to have a cookout or a picnic.
If you want to spend the night on Jomabo Island, there are a number of rooms available to meet your budget and needs. All the rooms are large enough for 4 people and more and prices start at $60 USD per night. For the adventurous, tents are allowed on the beach and the resort will even rent you a mattress and two pillows! I will add that the resort staff at Jomabo Island are among the best I have encountered anywhere in regards to friendliness, helpfulness and willing to meet your personal needs. Julien’s Wreck
Julien’s Wreck is one of Sipalay’s 44 magnificent diving spots that’s named after the sunken cargo vessel found in the area. What remains of the ship is now covered in barnacles and corals which serve as home to several schools of fish and other marine creatures. Punta Ballo Beach is the most popular destination in Sipalay City. The beauty of its wide stretch and white sand is one of the best in the Negros Occidental. Beyond the amazing beach is a spectacular sunset. You’re guaranteed a romantic late afternoon when you visit this beach in good weather.
Its appeal caught the attention of a great number of tourists from local to international. Two of the most luxurious resorts here are owned by Germans. One of the biggest reasons for this is its fascinating diving spots. A rich variety of corals and colorful fishes can be found in different spots near the area. Tinagong Dagat

Tinagong Dagat means “hidden sea”. The body of water there is literally secluded by limestone walls. In the middle of the secret bay, there’s an islet which can be accessed via footbridge. And since the place is enclosed, the water there is calm.
One of the highlights of the resort is its 150-meter footbridge/hanging bridge which connects the islet to Latasan or Tinagong Dagat Extension. From there, there are boats available for island hopping. You can also relax and swim to the resort’s fresh and saltwater pools. Read More: http://www.tupanggala.com/tinagong-dagat/
