The INILUSAN is to Mambusao as Halaran is to Roxas City. The Mambusao cultural religious festivity was first introduced last 1975 as the year’s festival theme. The term INILUSAN means the mutual and reciprocal giving and sharing of food in generous measure and in the spirit of fraternal goodwill that permeates the daily life of Mambusaonons.

The Inilusan is a colorful pageant celebrated by way of recollecting the stories of Mambusao and depicting the historical and cultural growth of the town during the celebration of the town fiesta on November 25 in honor of Saint Catherine of Alexandria. The Inilusan Festival is started as a simple celebration of recollecting stories about the orgins of mambusao. Today, Inilusan is the most anticipated annual event involes all Mambusaonons here and abroad. this is simultaneously celebrated with the religious fiesta of St. Catherine of Alexandria, The patron Saint of Mambusao, Which culminates on November 25th. Inilusan Festival of Mambusao, Capiz is a combination of cultural and religious celebration. Activities include novenas and masses as a spiritual preparation for the annual feast of St. Catherine of Alexandria. The festival futures street dancing, cultural presentation, beauty pageants, civic parade and food festival are highly-anticipated by residents as well as visitors of the town. The festival is held from November 20-25 of the year.

The word “inulusan” signifies mutual sharing of resources, foods, and goodwill in a generous amount. It is a genuine spirit of giving and taking to strengthen the ties between and among them. Residents’ inherent generosity is part of the charm of this humble town in Capiz.
