Mount Madia-as (also called Madja-as) is a dormant volcano, it is the highest peak in the island of Panay, Philippines and the second highest in the Visayas region, only Mount Kanlaon in Negros Island is the higher. With an elevation of 6,946 feet (2,117 meters) above sea level. Mount Madia-as is ranks 63rd highest in List of islands by highest point in the world. Located in Culasi town in the province of Antique northern portion, it is part of Central Panay Mountain Range the longest mountain ranges in the island. Madjaas is the highest mountain of Panay and a hard challenging one with the elavation of 2177m above the sea level, located in Culasi, Antique. When i was a kid i have heard rumors about this magical, mystery told creation. As people say no one could ever climb the mountain,who ever climb did not came back home as they say they were captured by some “Diwatas”.
