Bao-Bao Falls is located at Diatogon, Lianga, Surigao del Sur. It is easy to find, just near Lianga proper. A developed falls. No hikes required just stairs (150+ steps going down). An enjoyable place to relax for a sidetrip/daytrip with your family and friends.  Read More:  https://owlventurer.wordpress.com/2015/08/14/bao-bao-falls/

So now we headed to Bao Bao Falls in Lianga, Surigao del Sur to have fresh water and greenery surroundings.

It was named Bao Bao falls due to its turtle-like form. “Bao” in English is a turtle. Bao Bao Falls may not be as proud and tall as other magnificent falls I have visited but you could feel the virgin forest-like ambience. It is not a known place for a tourist, glad our driver is from Surigao City and he is the one who suggested that we try Bao Bao falls.

Looking from afar, you might say the waterfalls is not interesting and just “simply waterfall” but on this small waterfalls, I almost drowned. So here’s the story, that time, the current was a little bit strong. I was sitting on a large rock at the right edge and looking down over the rapids thinking to dive or not. I didn’t jump on the water because the current is really scary at a closer look.  Read More:  http://iwanderphilippines.com/bao-bao-falls-surigao-del-sur/

Bao-bao falls is considered as a virgin tourist spot in Diatagon Surigao del Sur since its an esoteric place where only few people could visit. It has just been discovered by the local people who continued to travel in the woods. The Municipal Mayor will soon develop the place so that it will be accessible and be known to wanderlust travelers.

I found the falls amazing. The water’s clear, clean and very cold that we could submerge our bought bottled drinks in place. This is likely the best swimming spot for people who are burnt under the sun.  There were small and wooden cottages built under the shading trees where tourists can do picnic.  It’s very relaxing to swim on. Any body swelling can possibly healed by this place. So far, this was the falls that is way too clear that you could clearly see small fishes swimming.

Furthermore, what I also liked about this place was the beautiful scenery itself. The natural features of Bao- bao looks very calm and relaxing as shown in my photography.  Read More:  https://steemit.com/travel/@annesaya/travel-adventure-1-bao-bao-falls-in-diatagon-surigao-del-sur
