Blue Waters Resort is an upscale white beach resort (for me) located in Samal Island. It is conveniently located in the coast side of Samal, 20 minutes away from Davao City. Blue Waters Resort is a Semi Private Resort that is open for beach goers who wants to experience exclusivity and tranquility. You have to make reservations first if you want to go to this resort. No Booking, No Entry. Although this beach has strict rules, their staffs are the friendliest and the most accommodating. As our boat docked at their breakwaters, the staff greeted us a warm welcome.
Aside from their white sand beach and turquoise water, they also have swimming pools both for children and adults. Accommodations will be not a problem since they have a variety of rooms to choose from at a very affordable price. They also have picnic tables, huts and kiosk conveniently located at the beach side for day tour guests.
Blue Waters resort is fascinatingly beautiful. It has a warm and homey atmosphere everyone would surely love. Plus, the staffs are very accommodating and the shoreline was well maintained. It was an excellent way to end our summer right. Overall a most recommended place to have fun and bond with your family and friends. Blue Waters in Samal is also one of the nearer resorts from Davao City. Using the Pearl Farm Marina in Davao City as their jump-off point for the boat ride, travel time goes from around 15-20 minutes. The beach is just two strips away from Paradise Island and adjacent to Costa Marina. What sets Blue Waters from Paradise Island and Costa Marina is their infinity pool.
The resort’s beachfront is smaller compared to Paradise Island but is still well maintained and good for swimming. Though there are parts on the other side of the beach wherein big rocks and corals are present so it’s advised to bring you trusty aqua shoes, if you have. If you don’t have aqua shoes, you’ll just be all right swimming in their (deep) infinity pool. I found it much relaxing to swim in the pool rather than in the beach to be honest.
As much as it is relaxing seeing the beach under the hot sun, the view of Davao’s city lights at night and Mt. Apo’s glorious mountain range in the early morning is also very much relaxing. Blue Waters is just one of the many wonderful beaches in the Island Garden City of Samal. Its turquoise waters and soft white sands and not to mention its tranquil ambiance is ideal for those who wants to get away from the noise of the city. The beach is about 10 to 15 minutes boat ride from the City of Davao.
Getting there is easy; you can both ride a taxi or public utility jeepneys and just ask the driver to drop you off in Davao Beach Club where the pump boat going to Blue Waters is waiting. The first trip is as early as 7 in the morning and the last trip is at 5 in the afternoon.
What made me visit the place several times is the fact that it is not too crowded. I am able to make the most of out my stay there because not a lot of people are going around the place. There are areas that I can have a moment of silence or just blankly looking at the sea. Read More: http://letstraveldworld.blogspot.com/2012/05/take-time-out-at-blue-waters-resort-in.html
