BEACHES, RESORTS AND DIVE SITES
Batangas has some great beaches which are perfect for children. Some have a stretch of shallow water that gently tapers off for nearly 600 feet, making it ideal for swimming and splashing around. Others have a nicely developed scene with plenty of water sports equipment for hire and boating excursions. Most of the rest of the beaches are pretty and some have decent coral gardens ideal for snorkeling.
Whatever kind of beach experience you want can be found in Batangas. The coastline of this province has quiet, secluded stretches of sand as well as more developed areas with resorts and water sports.
Culebra (Bonito) Island

Strong currents make it necessary to hunt for quiet patches of water, which can usually be found on the lee side of one of these islands at most times of the day. Both islands of Culebra (or Bonito Island) and Mabalahibong Manok Island, are surrounded by shallow ledges at about 15-25 feet, with a rich supply of both soft and hard corals and plenty of reef fish. Between these two islands there is an underwater hot spring, which is a natural wonder. There is also a fish feeding area and a good spot for viewing sharks around this point. Good for big-game fishing and macro photography.

The dive starts with boulders and small caves populated by hound sharks, small tropicals, sea anemone & clown fish. Further into the dive pelagics, gatring and waistcoat trigger fish will be sighted. Dive ends with emperor angelfish.
