Nabas is one of the 17 municipalities of the Province of Aklan. Situated in the western tip of the Province, Nabas is blessed with topography that makes it a good ecotourism site. Its Hurom-hurom and basang cold spring makes it a perfect get-away from hot summer days. Aside from these attractions, the town boasts its Bariw Festival, an annual festival celebrated from May 12-15 to commemorate the feast of St. Isidore the farmer. Also, the festival is a way for promoting the town’s cottage industry as it showcase the products made from bariw leaves such as hats, mats, bags and purses.  The event is highlighted by streetdance performances of selected folks from the town’s 20 barangays dressed in bariw costumes accompanied with lively beating of indigenous drums.
