Located in between the province of Bohol and Mactan Island, Nalusuan was once a sandbar but was reclaimed in order to create the Nalusuan Island Resort which now occupies the entire island.

The island is part of the group that forms the Olango Island Group. It’s comprised of Olango Island and six satellite islets: Sulpa, Gilutongan, Nalusuan, Caohagan, Pangan-an and Camungi.

The island is a marine sanctuary and is main reason for the arrival of tourists. But apart from seeing the many fishes, guests can stay on the island as there are amenities for that. The island also has a restaurant so you don’t have to worry about cooking your own meals. Read More: http://triptheislands.com/destinations/nalusuan-island-a-man-made-haven-in-cebu/

It’s no wonder Cebu placed second on the list of the friendliest islands in the world of the Travel + Leisure (T+L) magazine. The welcoming attitude and friendliness of Cebuanos to visitors definitely shows how proud they are with their hometown. Without a doubt, Cebu indeed has a number of very beautiful places where visitors will be in awe with what the island has to offer. One of these places that will amaze visitors is the Nalusuan Island and Marine Sanctuary.

The Nalusuan Island and Marine Sanctuary is a marine sanctuary offering one of the best diving experiences in Cebu. The island itself is a part of the Olango Island Group and is only around one hectare in size. The island is essentially a private resort featuring extraordinary accommodations, cottages built on stilts. Read More:  http://www.peanutbrowas.com/blog/nalusuan-island-and-marine-sanctuary

Nalusuan Island is a private island resort and marine sanctuary. It is approximately 30 minutes away from Mactan Island, Cebu by boat (motorized banca).

For those who want a different experience aside from the beach resorts in Mactan, Nalusuan Island is a good option. One can choose a Day Tour visit or stay overnight at one of the cottages by the sea. Electricity (generator power) is available from 6pm – 8am only.

Activities include snorkeling in the protected coral gardens, scuba diving, swimming in the wide sandbar, or just relaxing in the resort. Sunset can be viewed at the pier area.  Read More:  http://www.ilink.ph/nalusuan
