Salt Festival or also known as Asinan Festival is celebrated every February 20 each year at San Lorenzo, Guimaras. This festival aims to shows us how they appreciate, cherish and use salt in their daily lives especially the food they prepare like tuyo and other fish products. In this particular event you would be also amazed at the way they used salt as part of their customs and props in their yearly dance contest which also consist of different age groups, schools and barangays. Guimaras Mountain Bike Association (GUIMBA) spearheads Governor?s Cup Mountain Bike and Downhill Competitions. Saranggola Festival

Some 24 colorful kites of various shapes and sizes went aloft in a village in this bustling town of Guimaras Island, signaling the arrival of summer and regaling local folks and visitors alike who came to witness the spectacle and admire the kite flying skills of the young participants.
The event, called Saranggola Festival, got through without hitches as the balmy weather proved cooperative, the moderate winds a big help in maintaining balance as the kites propelled higher into darkened skies.
The shapes and design of the kites seemed to reflect the dreams of participants. One entry looked every bit a fighter aircraft and its young handler said being a pilot one day is his biggest aspiration.
