Kayangan Lake

Kayangan Lake is one of two lakes in Coron island (out of 8 lakes) that are open to the public. There is a steep 10-15 minute uphill climb of approximately 300 steps towards the inland lake. Midway through the climb is a view deck overlooking the lagoon.Read More: http://www.ilink.ph/kayangan-lake

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park

The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is a protected area of the Philippines located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of the city centre of Puerto Princesa, Palawan. The river is also called Puerto Princesa Underground River.

In 2010, a group of environmentalists and geologists discovered that the underground river has a second floor, which means that there are small waterfalls inside the cave. They also found a cave dome measuring 300 m (980 ft) above the underground river, rock formations, large bats, a deep water hole in the river, more river channels, and another deep cave, as well as marine creatures and more. Deeper areas of the underground river are almost impossible to explore due to oxygen deprivation.^{[clarification needed]}

Ugong Rock

Ugong Rock, found at Brgy. Tagabinet, North part of Puerto Princesa has taken its name from the echoing sound of the rocks produce when tapping it. Siete Pecados

Siete Pecados is the most known and closest snorkeling destination around Coron. The literal meaning of the name Siete Pecados is “Seven Sins”. The legend has it that seven sister went swimming against their mothers will, all of them drowned and afterwards seven islands appeared.

Twin Lagoon

Twin Lagoon was the first of many gems we discovered hidden in Palawan’s dreamy Coron Bay. Maquinit Hot Springs

It is the only known saltwater hot spring in the Philippines and probably the only one in Asia. The hot spring is just about 25 minutes from the town center and is located between a hill and the blue sea whose shores are lined with mangrove trees and floating bamboo cottages. Small Lagoon

Secret Lagoon

Separated into two by limestone cliffs, the Secret Lagoon Beach is an interesting island in El Nido. A secret lagoon is hidden on one side while the second is comprised with gorgeous stretch of fine, white sand beach. Access to the lagoon is through a small opening. Skeleton Wreck

This is a tiny little wreck located on the northwest corner of Coron Island which is ideal for diving and snorkeling. You can see here a sunken ship that sits on a pretty reef. The wreck got its name from the fact that the keel, ribs and stringers of the boat are the only thing that’s left, giving a skeletal appearance. The water around it is so clear that you can actually see the beautiful corals and reef at the bottom. Beware: There are lots of sea urchins within the area so it is recommended to wear aqua shoes while snorkeling. Like CYC Beach, this also makes a good spot to have lunch. Banana Island

We continued our island hopping and took the 30-minute boat ride to Banana Island. How it got its name, I have no idea. I assume it’s due to the shape. Banana’s beach was shorter and the waters, though also as clear, were deeper. As a consolation, the marine life was better over in these parts, and the infrastructure was a bit more well developed. Malcapuya Island

If you want to fully savor the beauty that Malcapuya Island has to offer then you have to spare another day for an island tour to enjoy and appreciate it more. A whole day tour usually costs around P2,000- P3,000 boat rental/day. Prices of tours with meals may vary depending on your chosen menu and the number of people joining the group tour so I suggest you plan and discuss the total fees with the agency or the boat driver for more convenience or you may opt to buy your own meals to save more. Malcapuya Island is about an hour and a half boat ride from Coron town proper. Some may say that it is just one of the usual long stretches of white sand bar; however, it has more to showcase its tourists than just its fine, white sand. On the right most portion of Malcapuya, you can witness the rocky coastlines covering the clear blue waters behind it. The island is really isolated with no residents except for its caretaker so you can really have a peaceful day to unwind and rest in this fascinating island of Coron. Helicopter Island

The island is also called Helicopter Island because its limestone cliffs resemble that of a helicopter when it is viewed from a considerable distance. Helicopter Island or Dilumacad Island has a beautiful white sand beach stretching to some 300 meters that is ideal for picnic lunches during island hopping trips.
