Jomabo Island Beach Resort is the only resort that I have been to where one does not have to rent a cottage for the day to shelter from the sun. There are so many luxuriant trees on the island, providing shade from the hot tropical sun. Admission to the island is P80 per head, which is less than $2 USD. BYOF! Bring your own food, as there are free BBQ grills provided. A great place to have a cookout or a picnic.

If you want to spend the night on Jomabo Island, there are a number of rooms available to meet your budget and needs. All the rooms are large enough for 4 people and more and prices start at $60 USD per night. For the adventurous, tents are allowed on the beach and the resort will even rent you a mattress and two pillows! I will add that the resort staff at Jomabo Island are among the best I have encountered anywhere in regards to friendliness, helpfulness and willing to meet your personal needs. Jomabo Island is located in Escalante, Negros Occidental. You have to rent a motorboat to reached this beautiful private resort. You will travel through the Barcelona Port in Old Escalante, Escalante, Negros Occidental, Philippines. There is a lot to explore in this beautiful Island of Negros.

I came to reach Jomabo Island when our team had a work in Escalante and we heard about this beautiful island and we decided to go there for a short visit. Escalante is where the Danao Port is located where one could go to Cebu just about an hour or so.

If you want a less congested island getaway, one of the perks of going to this place is the privacy and less traffic. About forty minutes travel by boat from the Barcelona Port in Old Escalante.

The sunset is so beautiful in this island. The sea, the shells, coral debris, I love it. For me, the island being quite isolated makes it less exploited and still not much exposed to tourist.   Read More: https://ederline.wordpress.com/2016/04/15/jomabo-island-adventure/

Jomabo is a small island off the coast of Escalante which is about an hour’s drive from Bacolod. There were six of us who ventured to this tiny piece of paradise – a haven of deep blue waters and white sand. We got there via a motorboat and stayed overnight in one the ‘satellite’ huts which extend to the sea and surrounded by the waters when the tide is high.   Read More: http://www.happysteps.net/2008/01/17/jomabo-island/
