Kalanggaman Island

Kalanggaman is 753m long, fringed with sparkling white sand that gets hugged by the turquoise waters that separate Cebu and Leyte. Lake Danao

Lake Danao is located inside the Lake Danao Natural Park in the Province of Leyte. It is 650 meters above sea level and is shaped like a side-view of an acoustic guitar. The lake is situated on an elevation similar to Tagaytay, thus, giving a cool gentle wind when you’re in the area and, just like the Taal Lake in Tagaytay, it was formed after a volcanic eruption.

Lake Danao was formerly called Lake Imelda. On February 3, 1998 it was renamed and declared as Lake Danao National Park and is protected by the National Integrated Protected Area System Act of 1992. The lake takes an important role to the province. It supplies water for irrigation to rice fields and potable, drinking water to the different towns of Eastern Leyte. Lake Danao National Park is one of the top tourist destinations in Ormoc City.
