When in Pandan, Antique, don’t miss the chance to visit the Malumpati Cold Spring. It’s just about a fifteen-minute ride from the town proper. Enjoy a refreshing dip in its cool, clear waters. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to swim. For only P40.00 a piece, you can rent rubber tubes that you can use for the entire day. Take the plunge like these happy kids. If you are brave enough, you may also opt to climb up the trees and jump from there. I’ve seen a couple of kids do the said daring act. The natural pool is about 20 meters deep so you don’t have to worry about hurting yourself when you enter the water. If you get tired of swimming and jumping off the diving platforms, you may just hop on the bamboo raft and enjoy the cruise. If you want to spend the night, just ask the locals about the cottages they rent out to tourists. Read More: http://touristportalph.blogspot.com/2015/01/malumpati-cold-spring.html

In the northern part of Antique, hiding within the forest, lies a hidden gem – Malumpati Cold Spring. It is the “cleanest inland body of water” in the country. Because of its crystal clear water that mirror’s the beauty of its beholder. Malumpati is one the most beautiful attraction the province of Antique can provide.
A heaven made beauty, its crystal clear turquoise blue water captivates and invites anyone to take a dip and feel its fresh, cold river water. Malumpati is a hushed, laid-back place where you can relax by floating peacefully along the river and feel the stress melt away. It is a natural swimming pool 20 meters in width, 40 meters in length and about 3 to 4 meters deep at the center, crystal-clear water and free-flowing from upstream towards the shallow end, going down the famous Bugang River. My journey to Antique started right after my Hinugtan Beach adventure. I decided to visit one of the famous natural spring resorts on the area. Malumpati cold spring. For only40 Php you can enter the resort. This resort has plenty of things to offer, you can do cliff diving, tubing, trekking to the blue lagoon and etc. Like many other natural spring resorts that I’ve visited this also has the coldest water I’ve ever experienced. The water from the resort came from the nearby mountains. The coldness of the water in the spring is just perfect for my tired body, it’s very relaxing!
