Barracuda Lake in the Coron Bay is an interesting and unusual diving spot in Palawan. The lake is declared as one of the world’s natural and beautiful sanctuaries and is referred as the “craziest dive site in the Philippines”. It is located at the top of a volcano crater that offers a dreamy scenery with blue-turquoise waters, surrounded by limestone cliffs. Feast your eyes amongst the picturesque skyline, lush limestone cliffs and irresistibly inviting natural swimming pool of Barracuda Lake. One of the world’s most unique dive sites, its exotic beauty is actually hidden under its unique layers of fresh, salt and brackish water and dramatic temperature shifts, which can reach as high as 38°C. It boasts of a unique 30 meter cave situated on a beautiful 33 meter dive on the north wall of the lake.

Barracuda Lake feels like a dream world. The entrance to the lake leads you along a path that winds through jagged rocks that look straight out of a movie before they reveal the beautiful, expansive Barracuda Lake. The lake is huge but swimmers enjoy an enclosed area of free-diving paradise in the deep waters.
