Bohol is a popular tourist destination with its many caves, waterfalls, beaches and resorts. The Chocolate Hills, numerous mounds of limestone formations, are the most popular attraction. The formations can be seen by land (climbing the highest point) or by air via ultralight air tours. Chocolate Hills

The Chocolate Hills are an unusual geological formation in the province of Bohol, Philippines. According to the latest survey done accurately, there are 1776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometers (20 sq mi). They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season; hence it is named Chocolate hills.

The Chocolate Hills is a famous tourist attraction in Bohol. They were featured in the provincial flag and seal to symbolize the abundance of natural attractions in the province. They are also included in the list of Philippine Tourism Authority’s tourist destinations in the Philippines; they declared the country’s 3rd National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.  Read more: http://www.infocomrade.com/chocolate-hills-bohol/#sthash.dsACiRG5.dpuf

The lush Abatan River estuary is home to one of the most diverse mangrove forests in the Philippines, covering almost 1,000 acres and including 32 mangrove species. Eight species of firefly congregate along the river; one of them is very rare and endemic to the Philippines. The estuary has a high potential for wildlife conservation and ecotourism. Baclayon Church

La Purisima Concepcion de la Virgen Maria Parish Church, commonly known as Baclayon Church, is a Roman Catholic Church in the municipality of Baclayon, Bohol . Baclayon was founded by the Jesuit priest Juan de Torres and Gabriel Sánchez in 1596, and became the oldest Christian settlement in Bohol. It was elevated as a parish in 1717 and the present coral stone church was completed in 1727.
