Plaza Miranda in the heart of Quiapo District, is named after Jose Sandino y Miranda, who served as secretary of the treasury of the Philippines for 10 years beginning in 1853. It is a square in front of the Quiapo Church, which is also a popular site of political rallies. The Quiapo district is also home to a sizable Muslim population in Manila. The Golden Mosque and Green Mosque are located there.

Remedios Circle

Remedios Circle is the bull’s-eye for numerous good restaurants, cafés and bars, although the circle itself is a somewhat barren expanse of patchy grass. The famous Remedios Circle is not just the circle with all the restaurants, the actual Remedios Circle includes bars, restaurants and discos up and down the street it will fill your night with the unique exciting nightlife of Manila.

 

Liwasang Bonifacio

 

Liwasang Bonifacio

It is park dedicated to a Philippine hero, Andrés Bonifacio, leader of the Philippine Revolution of 1896 who, unlike Rizal, advocated armed revolution against Spain. Within Bonifacio Park is the huge Central Fountain Park of Manila which was inaugurated in December 1994. This is also the site of mass political rallies concentrating on international and local affairs. This park is a designated freedom park.
