Sabang beach is indeed a beautiful beach where you can enjoy its clear water and very fine sand. When we reached the place, only a few tourists were swimming on the beach maybe because it was scorching hot then. If you would plan to stay for a day or two in Sabang, there are quite a lot of accommodations (from the cheapest-most expensive) to choose from. But keep in mind that most of the rooms are not airconditioned. This place has no electricity and just depends on the generator that is being used from 6pm – 1am. Sabang is 80km away from Puerto Princesa, the capital city of the province of Palawan, Philippines. The trip from Puerto Princesa to Sabang normally takes approximately 3 hours. Well, maybe most people, like us, were on their way to the underground river and just stopping by for lunch and not to actually go swimming here. The beach looked really quiet and peaceful, very suitable for beach-loving people who are tired of noisy and crowded beaches. Unknown to many, Sabang is just a sitio of Puerto Princesa City and not a town in itself in Palawan. It has a nice fine white sand beach yet it’s best known as the gateway to the world-famous Palawan Underground River (or the Puerto Princesa Subterraanean River National Park).
Before the list of Sabang Beach Resorts, herewith is the list of things to do in Sabang, Palawan to justify your overnight stay there:
Besides the Palawan Underground river, there’s also the Ugong Rock spelunking and zipline, Monkey Trail/Jungle Trail, Mangrove Paddleboat Tour, the Sabang Waterfalls, and a Buddhist Temple to visit in Sabang. – See more at: http://www.backpackingphilippines.com/2011/04/palawan-beach-resorts-sabang-puerto.html#sthash.ug1fDdxG.dpuf
