San Pablenos also celebrate the Flores de Mayo (Mayflower Festival) sometimes also called as Santacruzan held every month of May.

The Flores de Mayo is a festival offering flowers to the Blessed Virgin Mary done by small girls to wearing gowns. Before the offering of the flowers, the girls parade in streets for the whole town to see.

Santacruzan is a reenactment of the finding of the Holy Cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified. This activity, like the Flores de Mayo, included sagalas (muses) wearing beautiful gowns together with their escorts. The highlight of this procession is the Reyna Elena (Queen Helen) and son Constantino (Constatine) who have allegedly found a part of Christ’s Cross.

To make it more enjoyable for the many visitors who come to witness the affair, the San Pablo City Tourism Council launched this festival as the Mayflower Festival.

There will be added attractions such as Balsa Regatta (race of boats) that will be held at the famous Sampaloc Lake, the largest lake in the city. There will be a Seven lakes bikathon, a tricy karera or tricycle race , Travels and Tours Exhibits featuring hotels, resorts and cars. At Dona Leonila Park, a famous spot in the city overlooking Sampaloc Lake will be a Themed Garden Show. Interbarangay basketball competition will also be done, a Dinner Dance and Ball will also be among the activities, so as the Lights and Sounds at the Sampaloc Lake for the youth. The Santacruzan will feature all the 80 barangays of the city so that the whole San Pablo will have a participation in this festivity.
