Nestled in what used to be a mango orchard in historic Cavite, 27 kilometers Southwest of Manila, are two world-class 18-hole championship courses designed by two golf legends: Arnold Palmer and Gary Player.
Why play at a club with a golf course designed by only one architect when you can go to The Orchard and play two 18-hole golf courses, each designed by a world-renowned golf architect? The Orchard features “The Tradition” designed by Gary Player and “The Legacy” designed by Arnold Palmer. The Player Course was the venue of the 1997 Tour Qualifying School of the Asian PGA, while the Palmer Course was the venue for the 1995 Johnnie Walker Classic and the 1996 Johnnie Walker Super Tour.
At The Orchard you can enjoy an array of club amenities, including: a half-sized Olympic pool, a 12-lane bowling alley, a 150-seater cinema, fitness and aerobics center, indoor tennis courts, badminton courts, a basketball court, 5 theme restaurants, corporate function rooms and a 500-seater Grand Ballroom.
The Orchard has been designated as a bird and wildlife sanctuary with its teeming foliage and various species of birds. And yet this scenic and serene enclave is a mere 45 minutes from the bustling city of Makati and 15 minutes away from the Alabang Town Center. Arnold Palmer – The Palmer Course is a traditional parkland layout, measuring over 7,000 yards with fairways winding through the mango groves and punctuated by lakes and large bunkers. The Palmer course will test the player’s shot-making skills to the limit.
Gary Player – Carved out of what used to be a sugarcane plantation, the Player Course was designed as a heathland course, reminiscent of where golf first started. It was designed with wide and rolling fairways and deep bunkers. With not too many trees, the wind always comes into play so that the OB fences and water hazards seem to attract errant shots like magnet. – theorchardgolf.com

The Orchard Golf & Country Club is a pair of courses designed by two of the greats Arnold Palmer and Gary Player. Located just 25 miles out of Manila in Cavite Province in the affluent suburb of Dasmarinas. Set in a former mango orchid this large estate has been transformed into a pleasure paradise.
Both courses are top class 18 hole championship courses with many favoring the Palmer layout over Players’. You be the judge. Such a high ranking earnt the Palmer designed course, as host of the 1995 Johnnie Walker Classic where Fred Couples won the event with an aggregate score of 277, eleven under par. The course layouts provide risk verse reward, typical of Palmers designs. Wind here plays a major factor as does the invitation to go for that shot.
